What's So Great About Vintage Eileen Fisher?

Starting her company in 1984, New Yorker Eileen Fisher had a vision for dressing women. Classic non-fussy clothes that can be worn time and time again. Unlike her contemporaries who were creating tailored and sculptural collections, Fisher wanted to make effortless timeless designs based on geometric shapes that could fit every shape and size out there. Using high quality fabrics that can last a lifetime, and a commitment to simplistic elegance, her first collection featuring a handful of interchangeable pieces was a success.

Throughout the years, Fisher has maintained her success by never faltering from her original vision and philosophy - to make clothes that surpass fading trends and can be used as a blank canvas to interpret and use in your own way.

Another key to Fisher's longevity is her commitment to equitable, sustainable, and circular practices. Her company was one of the first to commit to using recycled materials and organically grown fibers, to promote capsule collections, and introduce a buy-back program for her goods which get resold or repurposed. Her motto to buy less and buy smarter was around long before it became trendy.

So, why do we carry the brand and what's so great about it? We carry her designs because they are of incredibly good quality, she makes some of the best comfy basics that you can put your own twist on, and they look great on everyone! Not to mention she's a pretty bada$$ designer who likes to ignore what everyone else is doing which I can appreciate.
